Subtle sound installation addressing main themes in Heiner Mueller’s texts,
e.g. walls, war, history, death/the undead, etc.

the always same dawn, following the hardly

The White Noise Angel Word Scream
An outdoor quadrophonic sound installation that breathes life into a huge old crane on the southern tip of the island.
Earphonic Play
An antique winged chair. A white styrofoam head hangs from the ceiling opposite of the chair in eye-level. On the head is a pair of Hifi-headphones that the viewer is supposed to take off and to put on his own head, and to sit down on the chair and listen to an experimental sound art [...]
Voicescape
A 3,4 x 3,4 m white panel is suspended from the ceiling with 324 white earphones hanging down. They constantly emit 38 different voices speaking the text ‘Bildbeschreibung’ (Description of a picture) by Heiner Müller in English and German. On the floor under the panel is a thin layer of sand which is covered with [...]
